VLBA Calibrator Survey 6 (VCS6)
Summary
Here is the sixth extension to the Very Long Baseline Array
(VLBA) Calibrator Survey, containing images and positions of
264 compact radio sources. Among them, 165 new sources were not
previously observed with very long baseline interferometry (VLBI)
under absolute astrometry and geodesy programs and 98 other targeted
sources were observed in previous experiments but had poor positions.
New observations significantly improved estimates of their coordinates.

Observations
There were two observing sessions, each 24 hour long:
VCS6a and VCS6b:
VCS6a was observed from 2006.12.18_17:50:07 through 2006.12.19_16:55:23
VCS6b was observed from 2007.01.11_18:31:23 through 2007.01.12_18:27:08

Results

VCS6 catalogue in HTML form.
The catalogue contains positions of 264 targeted sources, their
uncertainties, estimates of the total VLBA flux density, the
VLBA flux density of unresolved components, naturally weighted CLEAN
images in postscript and in fits format at X and S-band; plots of the
correlated flux density as a function of the length of the baseline
projection to the source plane; fits files with calibrated
uv data.
